Four 15 year old males…..
…have been arrested in connection with the death of 54year old James Sheppard, whose body was found by passers-by in the grounds of Mansfield Community Hospital.
Where did it all go wrong? Fifteen year olds suspected of killing a man, who died of a head wound. I despair for the future, when children (which is what they are) commit such crimes. How did we ever get to this sorry state?
We all must have memories of minor misdemeanours - hedge-jumping, knock a door - run, etc. However, there appears now to be a total lack of regard for the consequences of actions amongst a minority of today’s youngsters.
The death of Jamie Bulger at the hands of children shocked the nation and we collectively wrung our hands in disbelief at such wickedness; crime perpetrated by youngsters is escalating and only when the truth comes out in this case, will we be able to get a handle on what made them do it. The distress of Mr Sheppard’s family will be matched by the despair of the boys’ families.
